Summit Language Institute:
Calculus
If mathematics is the "queen of the sciences," as Carl Friedrich Gauss stated, then one could say that calculus is the "crown princess." Calculus, in many respects, represents the pinnacle of mathematical achievement, and is used extensively in the major branches of the physical sciences - biology, chemistry, and physics - as well as in applied sciences, such as the various branches of engineering and technology. Having a good grasp of calculus, therefore, frees up the working memory and allows students to concentrate on their respective disciplines.
This class provides a solid foundation in basic differential and integral calculus. It also touches upon related topics such as sequences, series, and summations.
The class meets at our offices an hour a week for 12 weeks.
